of a waste management strategy are endless but one thing is sure as shooting,
it's our responsibility to safeguard the environment for years to return and
this is often one effective way of doing so. When looking forward, global waste
is anticipated to grow to three.40 billion tonnes by 2050, over double increment
over the identical period
Proper
management of solid waste matter is need of the day as lack of this may cause
harm for human and environmental health. this study reviews issues associated
with various styles of waste viz. segregation
and categorization of wastes, disposal of wastes, major challenges
being faced by country, strategies to beat and education and awareness
to people hazardous. The study also reveals the prevailing practices and
methods regarding waste generation, disposal and management. On the premise of
study, following are the recommendations:
• Awareness should be spread to public in
order that they realize the importance of natural resources and their utilities
in an exceedingly proper way.
• Education should be provided at the inspiration
level i.e. at school, college and universities level.
• Governmentshould take initiatives of developing entrepreneurship opportunities in managingand recycling of waste materials into a profitable system thereby creating
employment and establishing specific role in economic development of the
country.
•
Organizations should step to the fore and contribute in management of wastes as
a company Social Responsibility.
• New
government schemes favorable to public must be introduced of collecting and
managing wastes at ground level.
• Large no.
of composting plants in various cities and villages should be founded so as to
convert the biodegradable waste into usable material.
•
Manufacturing of latest polythene bags should be strictly stopped and existing
bags in garbage should be used as a layer just under the concrete road in
construction.
